November Scrapbook Layouts

I’ve given up all hope for a White Christmas here in Southern Wisconsin, but I’m sure that white stuff that you either love or hate will most likely arrive at some point so I made some pages in the November Layouts class just for the occasion.  So maybe it’s my fault that it won’t be white here for the holidays…and you can either yell at me or thank me.  Your call.  But regardless…my class attendees and I are prepared for wintery photos… although for myself, I wouldn’t have to dig very deep to come up with some unscrapped oldies, no doubt!

I love the Scrapbook Layouts classes and I hold them here in the studio on a monthly basis.  I’ve finished up the November To-Go kits for those that weren’t able to attend in person.  I have several options for kits and I encourage you to join us in person or virtually.  Here’s the first set of pages from the November class.  I’m hoping to have a little time to work on pages for January in the next few days.

Time of Giving

Isn’t this just the sweetest little card….I can’t decide if I like Card A

or Card B?

I used the Evergreen Border Punch to add a little “forest” to the back drop.  Which do you like better?  I’ll be adding a limited number of kits (using up my stash of retired glimmer paper!) to my Christmas Card Buffet on Oct 17th.  You will have the option to tree or not to tree.

 Register for class here.

Here’s the Coffee Klatsch we did today, creating this card.  I swapped out the Real Red base for the Basic White as it makes it a little brighter and happier!

Cutest Halloween Door Dash

The weather is a changing here in Southern Wisconsin.  It’s dry, cool and absolutely gorgeous…but it is sweatshirt weather today.  It’s giving me the urge to switch out my seasonal decorations to a fall “vibe”.   Bring on the apple cider donuts and pumpkin spice lattes and we will be set!  Typically I have 3-4 areas of the house that I switch out for the seasons, my mantle, my front & side doors, the harvest table and a spot on the kitchen counter…that’s my goal anyway.  So hopefully I can get this late summer porch one switched out.

Sunflowers are from my garden and it’s kind of a game to repurpose things I have on hand to recreate each season.  I set aside a few bucks for “new” things but I need to find the rest from the stash.  I don’t include flowers in the budget because I consider that mental health and there is no price on mental health.  They make me happy and life’s to short not to have flowers.  So on the list this weekend, is a visit to Eberts, one of my favorite fall jaunts for mums and I will pull a few pumpkins and gourds from the garden as well this weekend.  I’ll keep you posted.  I really don’t decorate for Halloween in the spooky sense.  I don’t like skeletons on my porch or in my closet for that matter…no dead bodies wrapped in plastic hanging from trees either!  I kid you not…I saw those last fall!  Ewwwww….but I did see some fun gauzy lawn ghosts on Pinterest that might be fun but I have a tendency to stick to flowers and jack-o-lanterns.  So the Cutest Halloween suite of products is up my alley.  Not scary or spooky at all!

This suite of products happens to be my Card Stash Door Dash Delivery Service for Sept.  What’s a CSDDDS you ask?  It’s my card class to go!  A 12 card PDF, a bunch of swag AND 6 cards supplies, prepped and ready for creating.

You can check it out here or register for the kit.

Registration is open thru Sept 20th. Kits will be mailed by Sept 30th…Just in time for Halloween creating!

Counting Sheep

Ahh…peace and quiet here in the studio this morning.  Ella’s back in school, Rob’s off to work and Denver’s working but packed up and headed out west hunting.  Adria and Caleb are headed back to Utah today for the winter and it’s just the girls and I here….so there is ABSOLUTELY no excuse for a lack of productivity today.  So…I’m back in the saddle.  Here’s a sweet little card that we did for Coffee Klatsch this morning.  Remember, you can join me every M, W, Th, & Friday for Coffee Klatsch at 9am CT….we share coffee, stories and obviously do a little stamping!  Meet us on my stinkincutecards Facebook page.

So this little sheep from this morning…  I love how it’s balancing on the fence….kinda like a gymnast.  My amazing little gymnast is playing soccer at the moment.  She’s got another new team this year…long story..another day but she’s had a new coach just about every year that she’s played soccer….hmmm…does that tell you something.  Further more, most of the teachers she’s had in grade school retired the year after having Ella…Not sure if they wanted to go out with the best or if it was the catalyst for retirement.  I will say that she’s spicy and a lot of fun…but I’m her mom and I love her.  just kidding…she’s a good kid and she may give you attitude but will give you 100%  and a lot of heart in what ever she does.

This past weekend she played in Rockford at the Puma Cup.  They’ve combined the U16 & U17 so they have enough to roster a team.  The U19’s were also short so several of the girls played 4 games on Saturday.  Little Energizer Bunny was sore but smiling to the end.  Walked away with 2nd place for their age group and helped the U19s win first.  Going to tuck my sweet little card into her backpack tomorrow morning….just as a little I Love You….and to let her know we think she’s special and amazing!

I added a star to the chest of the Balancing Sheep along the lines of a gold medal or a gold star. Stinkin’ cute if I don’t say so myself.

Head over to my website if you need any of the supplies I’ve listed.

Dragonfly Garden

Sometimes we need a quick card and that’s when I would suggest using a “card sketch”.  A card sketch is exactly what it sounds like…a card sketch.  It’s when you take the elements of a card that appeals to you and use the elements and dimensions to create an entirely new card.  That’s what I did on a recent Coffee Klatch.

Loved the layout of an ice cream card I had in the studio and needed something quick for my klatch that was to start in 15 minutes!  Nothing like waiting until the last minute!  Here’s the card that hatched from the sketch.  I love it!  Now it’s your turn…take this card sketch and create a fun new version!
