So yesterday, Ella and I visited my folks after Ellas Dr. appt. It was Mom’s bday on Sunday, so we decided to try the new Mexican restaurant in Sauk City, called Jose’s. Great little restaurant and it was delicious. Since my Dad is always so quick to grab the check, I told the waitress I wanted the check since it was Mom’s bday and I was treating…and apparently inadvertently I opened Pandoras box. I didn’t think too much of it when one of the waiters slung a guitar over his shoulder..I may have been short on caffeine at that point?…but once I saw the waitstaff gathering around and clapping I thought…oh boy..this could be FUN! Yup, Mom was serenaded and treated to Fried Ice Cream. I think she was as red as the chili peppers in the place and I’m sure she’s very thankful that I’m her daughter!
Sometimes we get an adorable stamp set that just makes you laugh! That’s what I feel about the Taco Fiesta set, it’s stinkin’ cute and just so happy I certainly hope it’s carried over into the new catalog because it’s just plain ol’ fun! My Taco card sold out in Card Buffet this month so I needed to come up with a new taco card, because everyone needs tacos, right? So the T-shirts of the waitstaff were Black, Poppy Parade and Parakeet Party with fun and punny sayings on the back. I used those colors in my card, along with the Alphabet Ala Mode dies to create this card.
I added a little sombrero to my card Ala Mom and spiced up my Sombrero with Wink Of Stella.
The cool part with that Alphabet Die set is that you can spell Hola however your like. With the exclamation points – you know, like ¡Hola! It would be easy to do and I think I’ll add it as an option for Card Buffet. It would make my Spanish teacher happy because it would be more of a complete sentence, right? I’m pulling on memories from 40 years ago..so I’m not really sure of the rules for Spanish grammar. You can watch the video below if you would like to see the step by step. Thanks again and happy stamping!
Oh for stinkin’ cute! I just adore this stamp set and coordinating DSP. It’s lively, fun and makes some adorable cards. This is the card that we did in my Facebook Live Coffee Klatsch this week. It’s a fun fold and will be one of the designs in next month’s Card Stash Door Dash Delivery Service. You know, that’s the precut card kits and coordinating swag that is my monthly Cards in the mail. It’s super fun, only $23 including shipping and it’s a great way to get 12 stinkin’ cute designs using a particular stamp set, bundle or suite of products. April’s will be the Regency Park suite. Get them now, so that God Forbid, we have another snow day, you can use them to make stinkin’ cute spring cards. This just so happens to be the bundle we are using for Door Dash this month…so cute!
Hello my dear friends…it’s been a goal of mine this year to get back to blogging and sharing some cards. I sort of fell off the blogging wagon once Covid Hit and I started doing my Coffee Klatsch Lives 3x a week….but this past week when I was honored with a trip to Salt Lake City to be recognized for my Million Dollar Sales Achievement, I was re-inspired to add this component back into my business. One of my fellow demonstrators gave the advice recently, “just make your self accountable and don’t let yourself off the hook with easy excuses”. So here I am..back to sharing my cards and scattered thoughts. Here’s to creating a habit and a schedule!
I was hoping to share the Coffee Klatch video I did yesterday but for some reason Facebook and my computer AREN’T playing nice. Here’s my card. It was a leftover from class that I redesigned. I have a couple of kits that will be re-added to class on April 10th. I have a feeling this one will go very quickly.
Now, just a couple of things to note:
1.I used the Christmas Labels die set but wouldn’t you know it, they are sold out already. But I would think you could easily use the Painted Labels Dies or that adorable Designer Tags.
2. Do you recognize the embossing folder? It’s a part of our Newly released OnLine Exclusives. They are showcased online instead of needing to wait for the release of the new catalog. Think of it as sneak peaks! You can check them out here.
3. Ok, is it JUST me or does that Black Gingham ribbon just make the card pop? I can honestly say that it’s one of my all time favorite ribbons to use on a card. It ties nicely, can be custom colored and it’s the perfect size! So, Enjoy the card we did in coffee Klatsch. Join me most Tuesday, Thursdays and Fridays at 9am CT over on my Stinkincutecards FB page for a quick cup of coffee and a card.
What could be cuter than hearts? How about Hearts with Gingham? Stampin’ Up is releasing a really cute suite of products tomorrow and I got a chance to work with them this week and oh man are they sweet! I “heart” them…pun intended! The Country Bouquet stamp set has a coordinating Country Bouquet punch and it’s too sweet. I demonstrated this card this week on my Facebook Live Coffee Klatsch. You can watch it here.
My first attempt was a little too busy so I kept switching out DSP and added the Country Gingham paper and it’s a hit. Exactly what I was hoping for. I did go back and work with the original pieces and swapped out the Sweet Sorbet for White and just stamped a red heart instead of the multi colored one. I’m very happy with how that version turned out too.
Love this sweet suite of products? You will be able to order them on Jan 5th. It’s the start of Saleabration and the new Spring Catalog. It’s going to be awesome. I think we will be adding this card to my Card Buffet for January. It’s adorable and simple and perfect for Valentines. Make sure you check out the class calendar…I’m looking forward to stamping with you.

That’s another word for life, isn’t it….an adventurous journey. Today I made a sweet and simple card using the aptly named set from Stampin’ Up! This set can be found in the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog on page 85. It’s a great one for masculine or adventurey vibes cards. This is one of those “sleeper sets” in the catalog, one you skip over cuz it’s sleeping and then when someone shares a card with you it’s like it’s come alive! I’m thinking scrapbook pages as well! It’s going to be a fun set to play with in the next few weeks. I love the color combo on this…Crumb Cake, Old Olive, So Saffron and Mango Melody. It’s got an early fall feel to it.
I shared a few embossing tips in the Coffee Klatsch today so check it out and then if you’d do me a favor and make sure you subscribe to my channel over there on YouTube that would be super helpful. D
Did you catch that I used the Rustic Metallic Dots that are on sale until Sept 7th? I found them in the bucket along with the Birthday stamp…sigh. Just means I’m going to need to order more so that I have more on hand. And make sure that you order some as well!
