Did you have a lovely Valentines Day Weekend? Did your sweetheart buy you flowers? Did you make you make him/her a cake? Did you brave the crowds to have a romantic candlelit dinner? Our Valentines was a tad different than that but equally delightful. I bought my Sweetheart some new dress socks. I’m practical that way. He’s not much of a gift giver but he went out of his comfort zone and found a cute farmhouse vase for the place. (I’m hoping to take down the winter decorations today and use it in the little area on top of my cupboards) and then he switched out all the exterior door handles for me…front door wouldn’t open so its good now. Changed them all from the old gold to the oil rubbed bronze. And with that off my list, it’s further proof that he loves me!
And for dinner plans..my dear friend Marla and her husband, invited an entire house full of old married couples and had a lovely dinner for us. It was so fun and relaxing! Between the company and the food it was better than any 5 Star establishment. So fun! Of course, I think I forgot to take any pictures…so my poor Valentines page is going to be empty for another year. But really would this page HAVE to be on Valentines day? I think it would be cute for any day with your sweetheart. Actually I think I have just the right photos! I’m sure you do too…and if not, take one today! Love is in the air! I’ve got 2 extra kits that I will be adding to my Facebook page shortly. Let me know if you want one of them!
and don’t think those adorable heart doilies are only for cards! I added these hearts to my Christmas wreathes and left them up for the Valentines Holiday. I’m practical that way. 🙂
Now, don’t forget Scrapbook Layouts are this week. Thursday 2/20. Studio will be open 5pm – 8pm – Drop in anytime during the hours listed and make 4 equally awesome pages! $25.00 for 4 pages!
Popping really quickly here today with a quick video showing you a great little pocket card from class this past week as well as quick tip on getting a reverse moose image that we used at layout class as well. This set, Seasonal Wreaths, is one of those “sleeper sets” in the holiday catalog. You know the kind…the ones that just simply don’t catch your eye until you’ve seen a couple of really cute things done with them. 🙂 Check out the Facebook live on my You-tube channel. Yes, it would an excellent idea to subscribe to the channel and tune in live on the Facebook page on Wednesday’s at 9:30am CT.
One of my all time-favorite classes is my monthly Scrapbooking classes. I hold these in my studio and what we do is create 4 pages. During the month, I create 4 pages on a variety of themes and topics. I create the page kits and during the evening, attendees relax and stamp the images needed for the pages. My peeps can chose to adhere the layout permanently or allow for some variety and chose not to completely put together the entire kit until they are ready to add their actual photos. Here’s the 3rd Page from the September Class.

We usually have some allowance for customization. For instance, we are doing a camping page and you HATE camping. We can swap out the camping images or paper for something YOU do love. Think about attending…It’s a fabulous way to get some cute pages done! (Those that attend the class do not need to bring photos)
Ahhh…summer is here. Ella’s last day of school was Friday and our summer routines have started….I’m that kind of mom hat believes in summer chores and while it’s a struggle to get her to “work”, I believe it will help in the long run. She’s supposed to complete four “jobs”, keep her room picked up and work on 10-15 minutes of soccer drills before she can have her electronics and is rewarded monetarily. $2 bucks a day…$1 for the work and $1 for attitude. We are on Day 2 and so far it’s not been too bad and let me tell you they aren’t really hard jobs. She washed the windows in the studio, feed the chickens and gathered eggs, watered my planters and spray painted a bucket so don’t feel too bad for her…
So now that Ella’s productively engaged…I’m sharing a few of the pages that we did last month at Layouts Class. I love our Monthly class as it’s a great way to get some photos off those phones/cameras and into books. Did you know Walgreens has a 50% off printing coupon? It’s PRINTHIM. Go ahead…check it out.
