I’m not quite as obsessed with windmills as Don Quixote was but I think they are really pretty cool. From the windmills of the prairies here in the States, to the whitewashed ones of Santorini
to the lovely windmills of the Netherlands, they are so mesmerizing. I was blessed enough to travel pre-Covid with these lovely ladies, my all-time favorite travel companions to the Greek Isles in 2019. This was an amazing trip that I earned as a special incentive with Stampin’ Up!
One of these three has a birthday coming up and so I used our new Tulip Fields stamp set and coordinating Windmill Fields dies to make a sweet little birthday card. I’m starting to plant the travel bug now so that post-Covid we can check the bucket list box for Netherland windmills and tulip fields. Just so they know…I can be like a dog with a bone so they aren’t going to have a choice in the matter.
I used a couple of different shades of Stampin’ Blends to create the Delft Blue look. I feel like I need to add some of this to my dish collection and of course we should take that home as a souvenir. Ladies, you’ve been forewarned…travel planning will commence shortly! Check those passport expiration dates and lets start dreaming.
If you love WINDMILLS too…
