Flying Home Eclipse

The Flying Home stamp set is such a cute little set and would work well with a variety of occasions. I like the little bird in the nest with all her little chicks…and unlike the name of this set…"flying home", a few of my not-so little chicks "left home" have gone back to college this last month after the nice long Christmas break and i will have to say I miss them. I DON'T miss the mountain of shoes by the front door or the extra "stuff" they come home with. Who know that our family had so many fishing poles, back packs, and jackets! But I do miss the banter, the occasional hug, the smiles and smirks, the hearty eating at meal time, the sarcasm and I even kinda miss the extra laundry.

We used this sweet little set this week in class and I've used my sample to give to a dear friend for her birthday. It's totally her kind of card. The eclipse technique has been all the rage of late and I used it here on the heart. There is no rocket science involved with the eclipse technique. Simply cut the image out with a framelit and pop it off the page. I usually find that dimensionals don't pop the cardstock high enough and I use the Foam Adhesive Strips as they are a tad taller making it stand out just a bit more. Stinkin' cute, hey?
