There are some stamp sets that you like…and then there are some that you LOVE! This set, Birthday Banners, just so happens to be a set that I LOVE! Banners, candles, balloons and a stamp that says "Eat all the Cake". What's not to love?!? And when it coordinates with a punch AND a Framelit set?…slam dunk!
This was a card that I am "fairly certain" we did for my Coffee, Cards and Biscotti class last week? I am afraid that the summer sun is diminishing my brain cells or maybe it was simply that A LOT of activity has occurred since last week and so the days and weeks are just melding together. I had CCB class early last week, a Party for Debi, Layouts class on Thursday, and Camp Stamp-in-Oga over the weekend. Then, Ella and I were then on the road at 5am Sunday morning to join Rob, Adria and Denver in Indiana for the Regional Soccer tournament. (Can you believe they didn't ask for my camp schedule when they booked the soccer tournament so I had to miss most of it!?)
This tournament was a pretty big deal. Your team needs to win State Cup, (meaning..Best Team in the State) and then they can advance on to Regionals (1 of 4 in the USA). There is "pool play" Friday-Sun and then semi-finals and finals on Tues & Wed this week. Both of the kids' teams didn't advance on to semi's, but both of the deciding games were extremely close games so that's some consolation. I had pushed my CCB class up to last week just in case we needed to stay in Indiana for the semi's. With both teams not advancing, and while I'm disappointed that soccer is over for the season, this means I've got an entire week to catch up in the studio, do a little stamping and tackle the ginormous weeds in the garden! Yippee!
