So back when the kids were little, I often felt I'd be a much more patient, loving mother once they were out and into school, meaning I wasn't with them 24-7?   You know…absence makes the heart grow fonder and all that nonsense..well unfortunately, I was quickly dis-abused of that notion.  Just kidding, my children mean the world to me but I am very thankful for the bus that comes and picks them up in the morning and even more thankful for the one that brings them home at night.  (Am I ever satisfied?  haha)  so when the last one went off to school I was really hoping that I could spend my days in a flurry of productivity.

I would have my house whipped into shape with all the laundry washed and put away, not a stray sock to be hung from anywhere but the clothes line, nary a weed would grow in my garden and flower bed and i would be ON it.  There would be delicious and nutritious meals each and every night and I would have all stray hairs smoothed into the perfect coif once they would arrive back home.  My Stampin' Up! business would bloom exponentially because all my customers completely satisfied and cared for.  I would have class samples created weeks in advance and ample marketing would ensue.  Right…somedays I worry there hasn't been ANY progress and I am going to lay the blame directly at the feet of these two…

Last year, I sent Rob to the kennel to pick out a dog for Ella's birthday.  We had lost our Yorkie poo the year before and Ella had been asking for one for quite some time.  He came home with, not one puppy, but two.  Yes, and we ARE still married, why do you ask?  I will have to say that they really have been so fun to have (once the electric fence was installed) but here's just a little snippet of my work day.  I usually bring them into the studio with me if I don't have class.  They are great company but really not a lot of help.

The above photo was only saved by Photoshop Elements from this…

Jan 2016-1

and this was happening to the immediate left of my page photo session…good thing I know how to hip block.

IMG_2948I could send them outside and let that wonderful electric fence do it's job..but I just saw one of the girls run past with a bottle of orange juice in her mouth.  Not sure which is better..here underfoot or out there with no supervision.  IS it any wonder I get NOTHING done?  🙂
