I have been blessed to know all four of my grandparents.  As children, we spent considerable amounts of time with both my maternal and paternal grandparents and I have so many wonderful memories.   I've been even further blessed by enjoying my grandmothers company well into MY middle age.  My Grandma Lorraine Ramaker went on her reward this summer and she was such a sweet sweet soul.  I cannot think of a kinder gentler person than she was and my maternal grandmother, Adrianna, celebrated her 90th birthday this weekend.  We took Adria's names from both Great Grandma's names…Adria and Loreen.

My mom and her sisters threw a 9-Tea Party…get it.  9-Tea/90?  It was a really nice time for all.  As kids we LOVED going to Grandma K's house.  They were farmers and we loved all the outdoor activity and animals, whether it was kittens, puppies, calves etc.  There was usually a horse somewhere that we could ride and always a big garden…and cousins and aunts and uncles.  It really didn't get much better than that.  We always had to have tea (with milk of course) around 3pm.

So many many fond memories…so my girls and I were delighted to be able to celebrate with her this past weekend.  My only regret is that I haven't been able to visit more as an adult…sadly too much time goes by between visits.
