isn't always a good thing? December has been a wonderful month for me and the Schueler family as a whole. I have held several really fun classes this month. I hosted a Downline Christmas Party and Shoebox Swap, a Customer Appreciation Day here at the studio, accompanied a bus-load of second graders to the Junie B Jones play in a nearby town. (yes, someone got sick on the bus.) I participated in a cookie exchange, we had Ellas birthday party and because my Father-in-law fell victim to Infuenza A over the week of Christmas, ended up hosting Christmas here, throw in a few other commitments and more company here and there and it's a recipe for a rockin' good time. A month long party and oh, so much fun and many games! And this was supposed to be my 'vacation' month. Oops…
So, I figured I might need a little stamp therapy this week, especially after having not just the kids home most of the week but Rob too. I was finding that I needed a little "me" time to just chill in the quietness of the studio. (or listen to a book on tape.) I have found that I am a fairly outgoing person and I love to keep busy and active but yet I need balance, a little downtime here and there. Stamping, scrapbooking, crafting, quilting or whatever creative endeavor I am doing at the time, really is the de-stresser that I need. Stress is stress, even if it's really good stress.
I pushed all the nestlings out of the nest this afternoon and this momma bird carved a little time to play with her new stamps. I feel so much better. In fact, I'm ready to get ready for the next round of company coming tomorrow.
I have many more Christmas cards to share with you yet before I can share my creations from today. Head over to my facebook page to get a sneak peek at one from this afternoon. I want to give all my stampin' peeps their chance to shine! so…
Here's Barb G's card. I love everything about this card. Super cute layout and precisely stamped, of course. Barb is the Stamp-a-ma-jig QUEEN!
Here's Barb D's card. Love the white simplicity of it It's absoluetly beautiful.
This is Rosalie B's Card. Very fun non-traditional Christmas colors. Old Olive, Pool Pary and Soft Sky, with silver thrown in for accents. Great use of BLING!
So that's todays card parade. Off to do a little cleaning. Hope you are having as much fun as we are!
