This is it…one last summer hurrah. We hit the Walworth County fair last night and the Trace Adkins concert. It was a great show and he's a fabulous performer. A second cousin plays keyboards for the group and so it was fun to meet up with him again after 25 years. That was the highlight for me…My coolness quotient was raised several points with my kids, in that I'm related to Trace Adkin's bandmember. 🙂 At this age, I'll take whatever coolness points I can get. After the concert, we are in the grandstand and Denver and I were trying to figure out how to fanagle our way over to see Jon. Ella, in typical Ella fashion says, Well….just run up to the fence and yell at him. So we did…and yes, Jon Coleman, it was fabulous to see you again and we will make SURE we hit your concerts again when you are in the area!
Today the kids and I are heading out to my folks for the….wait for it…..the Sauk-Prairie Cow Chip Throw. Yes, only in Wisconsin will you find a festival honoring the throwing of manure. We are a fun state, no doubt. I'm hoping to hit the craft fair and Ella is excited for the parade. Denver is looking to steal all the flavored Tootsie-Rolls from her candy stash. I anticipate a weekend filled with fun but NO stamping. eeeks.
That's all going to change on Tuesday when the little one heads to school. Bigs start on Wednesday but they can be put to work on Tuesday (my deck needs staining!) and I can create in my Happy Place un-harried. Oh wait, I have 8 kittens in here.
As you can see the summer has been full and I've managed to just barely stay ahead of my class schedule. This was a fun little card that I did for my Coffee Cards and Biscotti class this past week. While my tomatoes look apocolypsal, my flower beds look just like this card. Colorful and full. This is such a sweet, sweet set and is a great bundle to use as your half price item when your club/party/workshop reaches that level! Lets talk. All for today. Gotta go feed the chickens, gather my things then we are off….
