As I mentioned yesterday we are trying to cram an entire summer's worth of fun into two remaining weeks, I may have neglected to mention that I'm trying to sneak equal amounts of work (two months worth) into these few weeks too. If you are even a casual reader, by now you probably already have deduced that I have a many ADHD tendencies and I don't sit still well. I'm working on it and yes, I DO know where Hurricane Ella gets a lot of her traits….Squirrel?
Both Mom and Daughter need to work on a little bit of focus and staying on task. Squirrel? Now where was I going with this? (See?) Oh yes…yesterday I was able to play the entire day away in my office with my Back to School Collage students and today, alas, no stamping on tap. Rob's business has been pretty steady so he's been unable to set aside time to help me spin my honey from my beehives. I asked my dad to come and help and today is the day that's set aside for a little honey action! I could probably manage it by myself but it's just easier and more fun with another. Besides, then my mom will entertain Hurricane Ella and keep HER out of trouble. Any idea how difficult it is to deal with an issue (egg throwing incident, tree crashing incident, watering the flowers with an open window behind it incident, for example) when you are completely suited up and covered in sticky honey? I know, humorous thoughts are running rampant through your mind. And yes, it's all that and more.
So today…no stamping, and since I need to get kids moving and a few of the mundane chores, (chickens, dishes, laundry etc) started, I'm going to just share the awesome weekly deals that Stampin' Up! has for us and I want to make SURE you notice that the Honeycomb folder is one of them! Sweet! (pun intended!)
Any one want to place bets on the number of stings I get today. I have one cranky hive and I'm a little reluctant to get into it today….sigh…that's what happens when you have a bad queen. But for the most part, it's such a calming, therapeutic hobby. Just like stamping and scrapbooking. Both of which I need!
