It's a great day for office work! I don't even feel guilty that I'm not out working in the flower beds or garden. Seems more like early November instead of Mid April today, so I've got the pellet stove cranked and I'm drinking coffee. Ah, life is good.
Now tomorrow…hmmm, soccer in Wisconsin can be a dicey adventure. Adria has a game tomorrow night after school and it's supposed to be a high of 39 degrees. Ugh, doesn't matter if it's the spring season or fall season, you are taking a huge risk as a spectator. These are the times that I regret not pushing harder for a swimmer. When was the last time a warm and humid pool was uncomfortable for the parent? In all seriousness, we love soccer and if I need a silver lining? It's supposed to be a sunny 39.
Here's one of the layouts from the Scrapbook Layouts class that I had this past week. I love this series of classes as MY photos are getting scrapped and everyone that attends is accomplishing great things as well. Now, the scrappers had options for this layout. Not everyone is privy to the perks (or pain) of a WI soccer season and may not need a soccer ball layout, so we had OPTIONS. Milwaukee Brewers colors are the very same as our Mukwonago colors so we had the option of substituting the soccer ball for a baseball. Of course, not all in class are sports enthusiasts so we also had the option of substituting the Pacific Point for another color and changing the "ball" to a flower with the Floral Frames Collection Framelits.
Stamps: None
CS: Daffodil Delight, White, Black, Pacific Point, Crushed Curry
Inks: None
Misc: Circle Framelits Collection, Hexagon Hive Framelits, Chevron Border Punch, Scallop Tag Topper Punch, Candy Brads and Brights Candy Dots
Note: to make the soccer ball, I simply cut circles from the cardstock with the framelits from White and Black CS. Then I ran the white circle through the hexagon hive framelit and layered the cutout unto the black whole circle. Easy. I also used it as a mat for the middle photo.
So all for today. Hope to do a little stamping this afternoon.
Head over to my webstore to purchase any of the items you need to make this page.
Of course, wish to join the Layouts Classes? Next class is May 29th!
