Hot Diggity! I think we are back in action? I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Typepad has the issue resolved and I can continue to merrily blog. Those kind of cyberattack issues and the level of computer complexity to fix them is WAY over my head. I'm more of a paper and ink kind of girl so it's a bit baffling to think on it.
I did get all my bees in yesterday and now they are happily ensconsed in their hives waiting for the arrival of spring flowers. Not a one of my hives from last year made it through the winter and so I need to do a little more research before next fall to acheive a little better success rate. It's costly to replace a hive with fresh bees each spring. It usually runs about $100 a hive, so not exactly an inexpensive hobby if I can't figure out a better method of getting them through the winter. I asked Rob if maybe we could "retire" to a warmer climate for the winter and I could just babysit them in Texas from Nov to March. He reminded me that we have a first grader and that wouldn't be such a good option. Oh yeah, but I feel old enough to retire?!
One of the hives was completely full of honey so I know that it wasn't a starvation thing. I was able to rearrage the frames from the full hive to the remaining five, so that each of my new hives would happily enjoy the labor of last years bees while cleaning up their new homes and readying it for queen to start laying eggs. It's such an amazing hobby and I can't tell you how delicious REAL honey is.
I DIDN'T have time to make my Rainboot Arrangement yesterday so I HAVE to get that done TODAY! The expo is Friday and I need to set it up tomorrow! I did have the evening session of my Coffee Cards and Biscotti last night and we had a FULL house! Here's another one of the cards that we did. Now I have two more session of this class NEXT week. Mon, April 28th @ 9:30am and again on Tue, April 29th @ 9:30am. There is Room for YOU! Let me know, and I'll save you a spot!

Now both of those were bit of a shocker to me from the Retiring List. I use the Dress Up Framelit quite a bit. It's give the card/page a fun and flirty feel. And the Itty Bitty Punch Pack…
here's how much I've used it here in the studio and in class. We've almost worn the image off the top.
