I'm speechless and it's not because I've got nothing to say!…Somehow I managed to catch Ella's cold last week and now, it's settled into my throat and I've been sounding like a raspy, three pack a day smoker. I think the hardest part of this is that, I can't yell at the kids and I actually had to send them a text to call them for supper last night. Quite humorous….actually. You know, I've been wanting a dinner bell to attach to the porch for the summer months, and I could have used it last night. I'm wondering though, if I'd be violating some subdivision ordinance or by-laws. 🙂 I do feel about 80% better than this weekend and I hope I'm back to normal as I'm supposed to be doing a couple of You-Tube videos and I have to work at the hospital on Thursday night. Doesn't look good when the help sounds sicker than the patients….
I had my Flower Power class this week and I was quite pleased with the cards that we did. Here's one of the cards that we did. This started out as a swap card from our downline's Shoe Box swap. Nicole swapped this card as a monocromatic black and white with touches of pink butterflies. Then my friend, MeLynn, posted to our group's site how she had colored the flowers in and added a mini butterfly and pearls. That got the old wheel's turning and I decided to color mine too! While, I loved the simplicity of Nicole's black and white version, I decided that we needed a breath of spring, so I opted to color my flowers too, for class. So Nicole and MeLynn, your combined card got a lot of oohs and ahhs here. I added a Daffodil Delight ribbon to the saying layer and actually stamped the Butterflies with the Papillion Potpourri set before punching them.
