I've gotten the kits completed for the girls that were unable to make the layouts class last week and I've posted all five pages to my monthly layouts album. You can see them here.
I am absolutely loving this series of classes I was inspired to start a bit ago. They've been great for me as I'm finishing pages for my scrapbook and are good for my attendees as THEY also are working on fun layouts too. One of the girls was so sweet as to say, "I love the layouts. They dress up my otherwise boring book" How can you not LOVE to hear that!
Here's the double page spread that we did. It was from a fishing trip several years ago to Canada. I didn't want it too frilly. It's Fishing in Canada. They don't shower a whole lot on this trip so it can't be a girlie page.
- Stamps: Fishin'. Hardwood
- Inks: Soft Suede, Old Olive, Midnight Muse, Early Espresso
- CS: Midnight Muse, Very Vanilla, Old Olive, Crumb Cake
- Misc: Linen Thread, Blender Pen
I resisted purchasing the Hardwood Stamp as I have both the older Woodgrain and the Woodgrain embossing folder. I could only hold out so long and eventually broke down and bought it. I've used it more than any other stamp set in the Celebrate the Everyday catalog. Weird, I know! But when you are married to a "wood-floor" guy, quite literally. He installs and refinishes hardwood floors, wood is pretty ingrained into every aspect of our lives.
So, got lots of memories that need documenting? How about joining the next layouts class on April 10th. Thursday night from 4pm – 9pm. Drop in anytime during the listed hours to complete your layouts. Class is only $25 and includes five page layouts with a few little "extras" thrown in.
