All is right with my world today! I'm enjoying the solitude of a quiet work day in the studio. My big kids had exams all last week and so were home by 1030am, and then with the "cold days", all three had no school on Monday or Tuesday. We managed to accomplish a few chores and even had a little fun thrown in there.
My issue when the kids are home… only lies in that I feel compelled to keep them "busy". I can only stand letting them "veg" on electronics for so long before I worry about brain rot! And I don't know if my kids are unique in that, when they are being compelled to do chores, projects or fun, they often need a general contractor and project manager to keep them going? And that distiction falls to me! Hence, my normal routine is/was at a stand still. So, here's to a little quiet before the "happiness" returns this afternoon. Haha, don't tell… but my "littlest happy" has a dentist appt this afternoon for a couple of fillings and I think my littlest happy isn't going to be so happy.
One of the things I did manage to pull off this weekend was my diva day. You can head over to my Facebook Page to see the girls in action. This is a special day for my downline that have reached certain milestones over the course of the last six months. I set up a special stamp camp just for the stampers, treat them to a stamp set and feed them. Here's one of the projects from Diva Day.
- Stamps; People Like You.
- Inks: Black, Calyspso Coral
- CS; Pistachio Pudding, Sweet Sorbet Designer Paper (FREE Sale-a-bration Choice), White, Basic Black
- Misc: Decorative Label Punch, Crisp Cantaloupe Ruffled Stretch Ribbon, Pearl Jewels, White Gel Pen, Fancy Fan Folder
Note: I stamped the flower several times on the Cantaloupe sheet of the Sweet Sorbet paper and then "watercolored" with an Aqua painter and the Calypso ink to make my flowers stand out a little better.
I, then, fussy-cut the three flowers and layered with a dimensional. Try the Paper-snips for easy fussy cutting. It's a snap!
