August. It's a month that I'm most conflicted! I love summer. I love the gardens, the flowers, the fruits the vegatables, the lovely mornings on the deck with a little quiet time as the birds are singing in the trees, running around barefoot, a quick game of evening soccer but yet..there's that edge to the days. As if the month knows that school is just around the corner and all things fun must be crammed into one remaining month. And I like fall, I like the routine and the "idea" of being able to accomplish a few more "work" things when the kids are in school, but I'm not ready to give up the things I love about summer. So I find that I'm torn, and August conflicts me. I find that when I'm conflicted, I eat! So I think it's perfectly resonable that my breakfast and to some degree, lunch today was a leftover dish the kids made last night of melted chocolate chips and roasted marshmallows. I'm fairly certain they weren't thinking that this concoction would be delicious dipped with Fritoes but I'm here to say it's the perfect blend of sweet and salty. And of course, adding to the confliction and guilt is the extra 20 pounds I've been carrying around and hence the vicious cycle continues. Pass the Fritoes please.
Perhaps it would be more advantagous to channel my anxieties into a little crafting. It's been a busy week here as the extra rain has made weeds pop like crazy and I've spent a few more hours out doors, which means, no stamp therapy. Denver started highschool soccer practice and I've been the shuttle, hence no stamp therapy. We also headed to the local superstore and bought our school supplies (adding to the confliction) and so I'm ITCHING to pop in a good book on tape and head over to the stamping area. But I vowed I needed to blog FIRST!
So here's a card that we did LAST week at my Hostess Club. One of the very first things I'm going to work on after Labor Day is a Hostess Club Blog AND coupons for my members…but in the meantime, we have another round of clubs starting in September and I would LOVE to get you in on the fun. This adorable card is done with our NEW CIRCLE THINLETS. LOVE THEM!
