Bashful Blue Who? Obviously, I must be able to fall in and out of love rather quickly. (Ok, Concord Crush is another story for another day…but I digress!) A couple of weeks ago I was bemoaning the fact that Stampin' Up! was retiring Bashful Blue and they've GOT to be crazy and was questioning the logic of that as I used Bashful Blue a lot and it's a "good" color. But Gone…like the fleeting love of high school summer crushes. I've got a "NEW/OLD" blue that I'm in love with today! Soft Sky. More of a "mature" high school summer crush. It's lost the "babiness" of the Bashful Blue and has all the makings of a great summer fling. LOVING THIS COLOR! and I can't even remember the name of that "other" blue. Soft Sky was an in-color a couple of years ago and I have probably forgotten how much I liked it at the time. I think you might like to check out my new crush.
Order yourself a pack of Soft Sky. Don't forget the ink pad and refill too.
This was a simple card that we did for Hostess club this month. I love the simplicity of it and think it would make a lovely Sympathy card as well.
- Stamps: Simply Sketched Hostess Set
- CS: Whisper White Cardstock, Basic Gray, Soft Sky (i heart you!), Blushing Bride
- Ink: Staz-on, Smokey Slate (mmm, nice color too), Soft Sky (sigh),
- Misc: This and That Washi Tape, 1 3/4" Circle Punch, Hexagon Folder, Pearl Jewels
Now, Washi Tape…that could be a fun little summer diversion, as well. We did several cards in class yesterday using the tape and I think I've convinced several of the love of Washi. It's a steal at $4.95 for three rolls and each roll has about 5 yards!
I'll share the other washi later in the week. We used the This and That Washi on the Poppy Card from yesterday too.
