Might need to take a break for a cup of coffee. I was up at the crack of dawn (5am) to work on a batch of homemade bagels and let me tell you…Einstein Bros can't compare. Yes, it would have been easier to pull up to their drive through and order one…and yes, it WAS early but had i gotten my act together last night, I could have slept in a bit longer and besides, I thought I should send the Bigz off to school with a homemade bagel. The bus leaves at 6:45 so I would have had to be up at 5am just to drive to Brookfield, anyway! And since each of the Bigz grabbed two bagels, I think they were a huge hit.
My take on the recipe?…easy and very very tasty and chewey and delicious and….I just finished one dipped in mustard..(What? I'm out of cream cheese…)
I spent a little time working on cards for tomorrow and Friday's Hostess Clubs and I had hoped to make a Valentine card for the clubbers, since I didn't get a chance to pull a Valentines Class together. so sorry…but I think I will do a Valentine Candy treat and a sympathy card. Sadly, those seem to be one of the hot card topics of late…
I always second guess myself. I stress myself out worrying that it's too froufy. I'm really not a lacy, froufy type and to have two cards in one session? Alas…deal! Kidding. I'm inviting you to attend Hostess Club tomorrow and stamp two elegant froufy cards with me and a Valentine Candy.
