A friend of mine is a Women and Youth Ministry coordinator at a local church here in Waukesha and she asked me to come this past week and teach a Christmas Card class in lieu of their weekly AM Bible Study. Around the holidays they like to do various things, for instance next week they will be baking cookies and donating a portion of them for various things, like their Church Sponsored Families etc. So I was delighted to come and do some fairly simply Christmas Cards with them this year. I've done this for them in the past and knew that there was a varying degree of crafting ability.
So here's the first card we did. I gave them options of the bow color but I knew I wanted to include embossing. Which one of us wasn't sucked in by the very cool technique of embossing, right? And yes your eyes aren't fooling you. There is a blue smudge in the upper left corner! I think it was dropped in a stamp pad at class. :) Nice simple elegant layout for stamping beginners or Christmas Card procrastinators. Which category are you?
-
Stamps: Come to Bethlehem
- Inks: Versamark, Not Quite Navy,
- CS: Not Quite Navy, Very Vanilla, Regals DSP Pack
- Misc: Gold Embossing Powder (don't be fooled by cheap imitations, ours is the BEST!), Vanilla Satin Ribbon.
The Vanilla Satin was lanquishing in the ribbon drawer. It was a ribbon that was discontinued years ago and I meant to remind you to check the clearance rack regularly as new things are added fairly often.
