I'm sitting here feeling cranky cuz I listened to the hype and secretly was hoping for piles of snow and a lucious snow day! Warm chili and bread and a crackling fireplace, you get the idea, right….and here, we are, getting rain! Boo Hiss….It's December 20th…Don't raise my expectations of a winter storm if you can't deliver, Mr. Weatherman!
I do have quite a few bright spots though. One of my dear customers delivered her batch of Christmas cookies again this year and I'm sitting here enjoying all baked goodies and a big box of chocolates from another sweet Mom and Daughter combo. They surprised me last week at my catalog kick-off/Customer Appreciation Soup Night. Earlier this year,we had been talking about the Fox Valley area and how we both had gone to school in Oshkosh at the same time and some of our favorite haunts…one of which was Hughes' Chocolate Shop on Doty street. Love, love love it and guess what…I'm currently hoarding a box that they brought over. Tickled me pink! and they are just as yummy as I remember., especially with a cup of good strong coffee.
So, I need to send out a couple of thank you cards to those that brought me goodies that night. I know, soup night was supposed to THANK them, not me! I had a few left over tags from the Hot Chocolate Jars that I gave out and so I used them up in a batch of Thank Yous.

I used the green stripes cuz Cheryl said she doesn't like this pattern (it's too "Ugh", she says) I secretly like it A LOT! It's snappy.
