Alrighty then, I've got some many new cardsamples that I need to share that I better wrap up these vacation photos.
Friday Afternoon cont: So then SU takes us on a Riverraft float down the Colorado River just below Lake Powell. Words fail to convey the serenity, the beauty, the over-whelming-ness,…it was an experience I will never forget.
(of course, the Sarah factor…I forgot to put my chip back in the camera after blogging Thursday night so I had exactly 16 photos I could take directly to the camera's memory for the entire Friday experience) Horrible, hey? but you know, photos just wouldn't even do it justice anyway.
Saturday…
I joined two of my favorite demonstrators, Lyndsay Mahon, of Edmonton, AB and Meg Loven, of Champaign, IL on a stunning hike into Snow Canyon. This too was amazing.
I had some great dining companions that evening at an awesome restaurant called the Painted Pony. Lyndsay, Meg and I joined Cindy Bauman, of Oahu, HI and THE Shelli Gardner and THE Sara Douglass. That was probably JUST about as cool as the entire river trip, in a different awesome manner! The food, the company….again words fail me!!!
It was topped off with a trip to Tuachan. It's the out door theatre there in St. George and we were delighted by the cast that did an amazing rendition of Hairspray.
Sunday….so more Sarah Factor, I had a 6:30am flight out of St. George (translation: 3 hours of sleep) figuring I'd get home in time to spend the day with the kids…..My flight out of Salt Lake…DELAYED three hours which made me miss the connection in Minneapolis….so I just played around with my new toy….my new ipad. LOVE it….needed to treat myself to something really fun for all the hard garden work I had done this summer and the kids had a little more time to miss me longer.
