I LOVE to go to the mailbox in December. Outside of the property tax bill, it's be a joyous trek to the mailbox. I haven't even had to trudge through snow and ice to get there. Imagine!
I'm going to feature two of the cards I've gotten from "friendomers" That's my word for friends that are customers too! hahah. These have been a delight to me this past week. I worked the weekend, this past, and so I'm a bit on the sluggish side today. Rob was sweet enough to take all the kids away yesterday afternoon so that I could get a power nap in and I turned in early so I'm just about back up to my normal sleep quota.
I'm hoping to get a couple of things clicked off my list today. Namely directions to both Stamps By Mail and Paper Kit of the Month. Alas, I couldn't talk the preschool teachers into taking Ella for a couple of extra days this week. I suppose they need Christmas vacation too, so I'll have to find some entertainment for her. Oh, she's got self-entertainment but it's usually messy, glittery and glueish so I'm not sure I'm up for that kind of entertainment today. In fact, I turned around the other day and she'd stapled & glued my NEW/SNEAK PEEK paper into a giant envelope. I didn't want to squelch creativity so I let out just a little "eeep" and tried redirecting and subbing different paper. I went into hoarder mode….unstapled, unfolded and smoothed the sheets….. One of these days, I'll show you the staple marks on my card as proof that I'm NOT making this up! How could I! I will say she's brought a lot of spice to our life.
- Stamps: Merry Christmoose?
- Inks: Early Espresso, Markers
- CS: Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso
Laura used the Dazzling Details on the Moose's lights and the Square Lattice Embossing folder to add texture and interest to the card. It's SO cute!
This is a fun fold and yes, I need to do a tutorial at some point on this fold. We used it at our Stamp In in November. Diana's card is fabulous. Complete with a sparkly tree and adorned gifts under. I tried to capture the glimmer of the shimmer on the side. It's so so gorgeous. I had a serious ooooh when I opened it! Thanks again ladies!
