It's been a gorgeous week here at the studio. Lots of stamping activity along with some gardening, baking and the like. I made refrigerator pickles this past week along with a couple of batches of Peach Jam. Obviously I haven't always been this "granola" but with Ella's food coloring allergies, we've had to eliminate A LOT of convenience foods, pickles and jams being ones that often, both have food coloring. Yeah, I could probably shop around and I have found a couple of brands without the coloring but at which point is it easier and cheaper to just MAKE MY OWN!!! Fruit Roll Ups & Snacks that were another quick fix for snacks…and alas, more food coloring. So again, I made my own in the dehydrator. Obviously a little different than in the stores but Rob just told me, "don't bother rolling them and storing them, they'll probably be gone by tomorrow" I think they are a huge hit.
So, here we are, living the country dream. You really ought to come out for class! It's a blast AND I made each of the attendees at my Coffee, Cards and Biscotti class yesterday, take home a zucchini! 🙂 Now THAT'S added value!
We've been selling produce and our honey at the Waukesha Farmer's Market on Saturdays and so when the Always Thankful set came out in the Holiday Mini Catalog, I knew what was going to be one of my favorite sets. Did you get YOUR Holiday Mini this week? If not, email now! I'll get one out!
I think this may be one of the cards we will do for my Coffee, Cards and Biscotti Class on Sept 26th & 27th. I've got a couple of spots left in each session and would LOVE to see you and if you are lucky, the zucchini plants will be dead by then. Register TODAY!
