Good morning stampers! As you well know, I'm a little quirky or maybe non-traditional is a better word for it. I like "different"…things the make you smile. For example, I have my punches stored in old drawers.
The ceiling fan above my work space. Our kids' names, for instance, Adria, Denver and Ella. Other hobbies, beekeeping. I try to keep it interesting!
So I love it when I can come up with an adorable little Valentine that isn't red or pink. Don't get me wrong, I can "do" red and pink as you can see by the Love Impressions DSP kit. (My kids are worried my quirky will rub off and so I'm very aquainted with "what's normal") Ella's my last hope for quirky and she's living up to the job!" What's the saying…our big kids are Vanilla and Ella and I are more of the Blue Moon or Peppermint Stick flavor. (Either you like us or you hate us and only in small doses?)
Ooh, I'm digressing here…so here's my Baja Breeze Valentine. Simple and non-traditional! I used one of my favorite sets from the regular catalog, Love you Much.
TIDBITS & Triffles – just a few notes
- I used the Polka Dots Embossing folder on the bottom of the cardfront. I thought I had a post on the directions to do this, but I can't find it…Looks like I need to share that as well. Then I used the direction to paper technique with a White Craft Pad to “frost” it.
- I stamped the birds on a piece of the Subtles DSP pad and cut out and adhered to the image
- LOVE the glimmer paper. I simply used the Full Heart punch to punch the paper and wrapped it with taffeta ribbon.

This was also my swap card this past weekend at our Group Meeting. If one of your New Years Resolutions was to try something fun or perhaps get a better hold on your finances, consider becoming a Stampin' Up! demonstrator. We have a fabulous support group and I would love to answer any questions you might have. Email me at stampwithsarah@wi.rr.com.
Normal is so over-rated! I’m with you on this one….
GASP! Not pink?
I happen to love quirkyness, you & your family won’t ever get bored!
I will have to get back to one of your classes SOON!
Take care, girlfriend!
