Goodmorning Stampers! Ooh, the electric blanket had a tight hold on me this morning and certainly wouldn't let go. I tried really hard to rise at my normal time but alas, it was the blanket's fault. So I'm hoping the kids will be JUST as reluctant to get up this morning too. I'd like to get a little done in the office before the rat race begins.
My mom's family usually spends Thanksgiving together and while I'm working at the hospital for the holiday and holiday weekend, we will be able to spend the day with my family. Just one of the perks of working third shift, you can put your hours in and still enjoy the day…ok catatonically but still. It's a big gala and I wouldn't want to miss it. Everyone brings their usual signature dish. I have to bring squash casserole and I'll post it tomorrow for you. It's yummy even for non-squash lovers. I started freezing all our squash from the garden yesterday and the house is toasty warm. I'll leave a few un-done but it's a great way to have it ready for eating!
I wanted to tempt and tease you into signing up for the Cards, Coffee and Biscotti class on Monday and Tuesday, Nov 29th & 30th. The biscotti? Almond Joy. It's a chocolate biscotti with almonds and coconut. Here's one of the cards that we will be doing then. I've posted the class schedules through January on my calendar here. Go check them out! I found an adorable card on page 41 of the Holiday Cards and More issue by Papercrafts, designed by Natasha Tupp….inspired, I created this version!
TIDBITS & Triffles – just a few notes
- I used the Hostess Level 1 DSP pack, Crumb Cake and Early Espresso here. I also used the Blushing Bride and Espresso Pads. Contempo Christmas (Holiday Bundle sale set!) and the White Satin Ribbon and Espresso 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon.
- Do you see the wrinkle up in the upper right corner? That's what happens when you are in a hurry and don't use a scoring blade. Don't do what I did!
