Oh the fickleness of Spring in Wisconsin. Even though I've been under the weather, health-wise, I have been enjoying the beauty of the spring weather and unfortunately, that's all about to change tomorrow. Sniff, sniff. I'm ready to put away the Valentine paper, the snowflake stamps, the autumn leaves and change over to flowers, pinks, purples and yellows, the vellum, anything that screams spring! Mother Nature can be so cruel. I'm dreaming of pansies, poppies and petunias and she'll send along snow, sleet and shovels.
One of the beauties of our Stampin' Up Team of Demonstrators, aka "my group", is that we get together and have meetings and shoebox swaps on a regular basis. It's a great place for awesome ideas. One of my newest demos, Donna Engler of Muskego, brought directions for the cutest Easter Basket ever! I modified it a bit to work with the DSP I had on hand and we are making it as one of our Hostess Club projects. Can you say May Day baskets?
What is Hostess Club you ask? Well, it's the best club to be in. We meet on a monthly basis and stamp three fun projects/cards. We have a 10 month commitment and when the club meets, each member places a minimum of a $20.00 order and then the hostess benefits are rotated among the members. It's a nice way to meet new people and work on your wishlist, learn new ideas and be inspired by the thousands of ideas here in the stampin' cottage. Would you like to "check" us out before joining? Guests are welcome with a $5.00 materials fee. (No charge to club members). Click here to see the other perks of club members.
