What's a more "season-friendly" or PETA-correct way of saying "I love it when I can kill three birds with one stone?" What ever it is….that's what I'm trying to say here. I was able to advertise my business, thrill the Birthday/Snack Girl, and send a seasonal decoration to the preschoolers! Three bases covered with one project!
Ella was Snack Girl on Thursday, the last day of preschool before Christmas break, and because her birthday falls during the break, she was "queen for the day". Being the stamping mom and looking for anyway to divert from housework, we Big Shotted up a couple of treat favors.
These are done with the Pennant Die that is actually on SALE from SU. The die comes with two sizes of pennants. Here's a quick shot of both sizes done up as reindeer and a closer shot of the smaller of the two. Now, I have many issues that are too numerous to discuss here but being a Type A Perfectionist isn't one of them so when Ella insisted on "helping" so she was given the job of punching and gluing the eyes on. Now, if you've spent anytime with her or on this blog, you'll get an idea that ELLA LOVES GLUE. I gave her the Stampin' Up! Glue Stick and she was in crafting heaven. Many of our reindeer do look like they have cataracts but their eyes will stay put!
TIDBITS AND TRIFFLES
-
We used two ½ sheets of Close to Cocoa for the
small reindeer body and then glued them back to back. I used Sticky Strip as I wanted a secure
hold. -
Eyes are one white 1” circle, 1/3 Chocolate Chip
1” Circle and the pupils are done with the ½” circle punch. Use the Gel Pen to highlight the reflection. - No horns, simply because I didn’t have a die
that would work and this was preschoolers, they really wouldn’t appreciate the
detail work of Hand Cut Horns. - Pennant Stampin' Up! Bigz Xl Die 113483 Price: $29.96
