and when you're not, you're not! Man, I flubbed last night. I managed to half way redeem myself but jeepers, I blew it. First, Cindy had her heart set on a gorgeous sparkly card and it was one of the ones that I pulled over the weekend from the class because I was worried that it would be too overwhelming along with the tri-fold swing card that we were doing, so I subbed a less intense card at the last minute.
Poor girl, I felt like I was the meanest person ever. Like I was ripping out hearts and stomping on them, tearing the cell phone out of 12 year old fingers, chocolate out of the hands of mom's of preschoolers, and the Sharpies from the preschool fingers. All very necessary and vital objects and yet, here I was…not fulfilling a stamping dream. So Cindy, I am so sorry. We will do next month, I swear!
So that was the first 5 minutes of my Techniques, Tools and Folds class, and then Brandy tells me, yeah, Gayle is looking forward to doing that snowman card. Snowman card? Yum, yeah…What snowman card? And she's desperately trying to tell me what card….I couldn't find it among the 6 million card samples that I have lying around here. We did eventually figure out that it was a faker shaker card. In August, Gayle and I had been talking about how easy to make shakers with this technique and I told her that we could do one! oops, and not to crush the heart and soul of yet more of my students last night, this is the card I managed to throw together in about 15 minutes and prep for a bonus project. I love it so much I think I'll use this type of card with a few variations for next month's You Pick Two Party Options.
