This weeks challenge is to show you our source of inspiration and what inspires us. I was tempted to just post a picture of these three and wax eloquant on how they’ve inspired me to acheive new heights but that’s way to gushy for me. I could also tell you that they "inspire" me to run screaming down the hall yelling, "Where’s the Tylenol", but I don’t think that was what was meant by this challenge. So here’s the picture of my darlings and yes, they "inspire" me but I’ll show you my stamping inspiration as well.
I guess that I often use clothing and other’s cards as my main sources. I will tell you that I’ve sunk to new depths. I was shopping at Gymboree not long ago and I saw the most adorable outfit. I desperately wanted to purchase it for the stamping potential alone. How, oh how can I rationalize this purchase, even if it’s on sale! It’s September and it’s adorable little summer skirt. So not going to work for this season.. but if I buy it in a 2T it should do a double shot..wearable and stamp lift-able. So heres the skirt and the card. I want to use the pattern next time but for this I used it for a color combo..Always Artichoke, Soft Sky, Cameo Coral and River Rock and So Saffron. This was way more colors than I usually use, so that was fun.
- stamps: True Friend, Amazing to Zany
- Inks: Always Artichoke, Soft Sky, Cameo Coral River Rock and So Saffron
- CS: Always Artichoke, Soft Sky, Cameo Coral, River Rock and So Saffron
- Misc: Tuxedo Ribbon
Now, sample two. Figured I’d load you up on samples as I missed a couple of weeks of challenges. This was a card that my downline Michelle Neuendorf sent to me a bit ago. Very very cute. Here’s my variation and it’s one of the cards that we’ll be doing at the Vernon Park and Rec Christmas Class.
- Stamps: Baroque Motifs, Hostess Party Punch
- Inks: River Rock, Elegant Eggplant
- CS: Elegant Eggplant, Ivory
- Misc: River Rock Ribbon, Designer Punch, 1 1/4" Circle Punch
So go and sign up for the classes and then check out my stamping challenge sisters in crime!
Great cards Sarah! I love that little skirt and it really translated well into your card.
beautiful children, skirt and cards. Very very nice.
Oh, I just love these, Sarah. I had to have this set and really have yet to use it in any big way. You might just have inspired me to get it out and stamp with it tomorrow!

I think it’s super sweet that your kids give you inspiration. They all look like they keep you very busy!
I really like the unique folds that you used on your cards! Very interesting designs for sure.
