It’s Friday and my Friday blog challenge is due.  We had to take the layout on page 108 of the new catalog and change it up a bit  Now, I worked at the hospital last night and am running on about 2 hours of sleep so if I’m incoherent, I’ll apologize in advance.  Figured why sleep when you can stamp and of course, the blog…so here’s my challenge.

Yeah, yeah, I know, what a rip-off when you want to see new stuff as I’ve used a set that’s discontinued!  There’s a method to the madness.  I have a Stamps By Mail Camp that I offer my customers.  They sign up for three months for the camps.  And for a set price each month, I mail then various products or stamps, card samples and cardstock already precut and scored and they can make their cards in the comfort of their pjs when time allows.  Now, Natural Beauty was a set that we used for the May-July Mail Camps.  (They can swap out product for equal value if they already own what’s been selected to come in their mailings.)  So, seeing that my July cards needed to be finished last week, I thought I’d make wise use of my time, for once and use it for my blog AND for my camp.  What ‘cha think?  Will they like it?  The other two months were very girly.  I’m trying to go more masculine this time around.

Of course, this card may need a little tweaking before the final send out.  I’m not sure I like the staples.  It really needs gold brads but July’s shipment had silver so I either need to use silver or nothing.  I will need to change the ribbon to something from out great new ribbon lines!  I used the discontinued Flirty.  You would have laughed if you’d have seen me digging.  I was completely out of that color.  I knew there was a card that I had stamped that had some ribbon on it.  I dug thru my gazillion retired card samples that I had Adria package for my catalog kick-off.  (Think Trick-or-Treat stamper style)   I found the card and ripped it off and recycled.  I suppose I better put another card in it’s place.

I thought the bird from this set might look nice too but I know Mary Beth, one of my campers, hates the bird so I steered clear of that one as well.  Well enjoy, although I think the photo is a little crummy.  It really looks nicer in person!  I think I’ve narrowed down the set for August thru Oct.  Make sure you email me at  stampwithsarah@wi.rr.com if you’re interested in joining the next round of camps or to sign up for my SU newsletter.
