Here’s the general feeling at our house! We obviously haven’t gotten the complimentary copy of my 2007-2008 catalog from SU or the truck load of preordered catalogs that I ordered for my customers! We’ve had issues with mapquest and deliveries from the moment we moved in here. My old man in brown would flag me down where ever tell me he’d dropped SU boxes off for me. He’d even tell me when my neighborhood hostesses had gotten their orders too. I’m thinking I may need to stamp up some goodies for my new man in brown so that I’m not stuck waiting for ever for my catalogs when they come out again in January!
One of my very dear downlines, Dana G has taken pity on me and lent me a copy so I’m closing up shop and will be unavailable for quite some time tonight. (Yes, she’s in my old neighborhood and the other man in brown understands about SU box priority status!) Denver and I did take a few peaks on our way back home and all I can say is…..IT ROCKS!
I obviously needed a few diversionary tactics to take me away from sitting on the porch waiting for the big ol box truck. Of course, the sensible thing would have been to start tackling the to-do list but no, I was sucked into a blog challenge thing. A demo from a list that I’m on is coordinating this and we were to take the card on page 10 of the Preview catalog and change it. So here’s my diversion for the last hour. I should be sleeping as I worked last night and I know my mom will yell at me for stamping and not sleeping. It used to be reading books under the covers by flashlight til 2am….some things will never change. She’s still telling me to go to bed and I’m still not listening. Love you mom!
I used our new Hostess set, In the Spotlight along with the new In Color colors, Purely Pomegranite and River Rock. You will be excited to see the double stitched ribbon in the new colors in the new cattie. I couldn’t wait for that and needed a fun little bit of bling so I just stamped the stem from this stamp set on white grosgain. For an embellishment, it worked great but larger pieces of ribbon, it’s a bit more difficult to control and get it straight. I guess it all depends on how many "retentive" issues you have.
- Stamps: In the Spotlight,
- Inks: Purely Pomegranite, Brocade Blue
- CS: Purely P, River Rock, Glossy
- Misc: White Grosgain, 3/4" Circle and Brads.
Now with this blog challenge, I need to figure out how to link the ladies blogs here so that you can check them out and see the other variations on a theme. Like I said, I worked at the hospital last night and have had 2.5 hours of sleep since Thursday morning so not a fully functioning being at this moment. The task is bigger than me. I’ll see if I can figure it out in the morning. Of course, this fellow demo also created this awesome watermark for me to add to my photos and I haven’t quite got my mind wrapped around that either and I really can’t blame that on sleep deprivation….maybe, brain cell malfunction? I think this may have worked! Here are the participating blogs!
