I’ve seen a little sign that says…"A Clean House is the sign of a lazy stamper." If that was true, my house should be immaculate! But alas, it’s not, so does that mean I’m just lazy on all fronts? No, seriously, I have been organizing and working on more efficiency in my office/stamp studio so I really haven’t stamped much these past few weeks. I did crank out a few the other night in preparation for an upcoming class. (And no, my office is not nearly clean enough for me to post pictures yet.)
I’ve been doing Technique, Tools and Folds classes once a month and the class in May is showcasing our wonderful, handy dandy Cutter Kit. It slices, it dices, it…. Really, it’s a great accessory and I wanted to do a class the will remind everybody as to why they’ve purchased the thing in the first place. I use mine so often that I’ve put it in the top right hand drawer of my desk so that it’s always at my fingertips. Here’s one of the samples that we’ll be doing at the T.T.F. class in May.
- Stamps: On Gossamer Wings, Linen & Floral Lace Backgrounds
- Inks: Not Quite Navy, Basic Black, More Mustard
- CS: Vanilla, Not Quite Navy, More Mustard, Sahara Sand
- Misc: Sponge, Watercolor Crayons and Aquapainter, 1/4" & 1/2" Circle Punch. Gold Organdy
Where are you using the Cutter Kit, I hear you ask? Well, the kit has a scoring blade tool that scores like a charm. I ran the scorer on a diagonal from outside to the crease and folded. I then tore the edge and used the clip from the HodgePodge Hardware to keep it shut. This could be a card if I had wanted but I used it more as a fancy dancy bookmark holder and glued the front to the back. The bookmark is beautiful and you’ll want to come to class, I can tell! 🙂 Sign up in the box where it says, SU Newsletters to stay on top of all the classes and camps!
