So then, the kids are off for a cold day last Monday, and I’m thinking, "Rats, my Spring Mini Pre-order things will be arriving today and I will be tempted to rip in and neglect my kidlets!" (So, I brought them to the soccer game and mounted a few of them during the pre-game practice. Not technically abuse.)
This was a very dangerous mini catalog. My checkbook is still whimpering. Of course, I had Roxanne, of the jelly bean fame, sitting on my shoulder with a pitchfork and horns while I was ordering. I just couldn’t resist, especially when I kept hearing..oh, that’s adorable, you’ll need that one…you can use that for shows…and on and on." What are friends for if they can’t be counted on to help spend your money.
So Tuesday, my dear friend and downline, Vickie was going to come over and we were going to start working with them. I used the "That’s Nice" set and she worked with "Bunny Hugs and Crab and Company" Here’s my first card with the That’s Nice.
- Stamps: That’s Nice, Bundle of Joy
- Inks: Basic Brown
- CS: Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink, Spring Showers Background Paper
- Misc: Safety Pin, Pink Gingham, Cutter Kit, Watercolor Crayons
Here’s Vickie’s first card done with "Bunny Hugs". The background paper is scalloped with the slit punch. She also used just a very small smidge of Petals and Paisleys background on the top piece, which opens and is held shut with the slit punch.
Here’s one that I pulled together using Crab & Company. I wanted to make a blue crab. Nothing overly sectacular, just a fun kids card.
We were stamping up a storm, literally. We got about 4-5 inches during the day while we worked and then I got the call….The School Nurse. Adria had a temperature of 101.5. So off to pick her up. She sat around while Vickie and I worked a while longer. I had her home the next day as well.
