Photo_6_2 In my last newsletter to my customers I mentioned that I’d ‘splain this card in more detail, along with pictures.  It’s a Left Brain, Right Brain thing.   This was a card that I CASE’d (in stamping lingo, that means Copy And Steal Everything) from a pile of cards that a Julie Coyle, a side-line sister had (again in stampin’ lingo, she’s a fellow demonstrator).  I do not know who the person that originally created this adorable card, if it’s you.  Let me know and I’ll give you virtual accolades!  I took the card, changed a few colors, and added some bling with that little scallopy thing.  Would you believe that’s made with our Slit Punch?  Yeah, you need one.   So call me, they are only $4.95!

So here’s the card

  • Supplies:
  • Stamps:  Love Matters
  • Inks: Basic Black Pad, Certainly Celery, Regal Rose, Summer Sun Markers
  • CS: Certainly Celery, Loves Me Background, White
  • Misc: Rose Grosgrain, Slit Punch, Flower Punch,

Directions:  Photo_11_1Using a piece of 2" x 4" white cs, create scallop.  This piece can always be trimmed more narrow when done but if you have a big enough piece, you can put the cs all the way into the punch and thus have an even scallop.  Also if you start in the the center and work out in both directions, you will end evenly.

Stamp Friends on White CS and color with markers. Photo_10 Add background paper and scallop.  Punch flower from coordinating background paper and punch out center with hole punch.  Add grosgrain.  Layer all on Celery Cs and mail to a great friend!

Now wasn’t that fun!  This set was a set that I had passed up when I got my mini in the mail…Needless to say, once my friend Shelly started stamping a few samples, I hurried to order!  It’s been a great one.
