Here it is a week into December and I’m still lolling around waiting for the right time to start some holiday cards. I’ve got a list a mile long of things I want to accomplish before the baby comes. My big accomplishment last week was to send out 80 cards for my Hostess event. Is it cheating for a stamping demonstrator to mail out birth announcements combined with a "Happy New Year" Card to friends and family? I’m hoping it’s not a lame idea and I think the saying on the outside will be…."Fresh as new fallen snow". I usually give Thank-you card packs as gifts to the kid’s teachers so those are on the list as well. I also need to send something out to my downlines. We got the kid’s school pictures back a couple of weeks ago and those should probably be fancied up too. Can we ever send out a unadorned photo?
I did do some stamping today. I went to my daughter’s fourth grade class and stamped a simple spinner card with them to send out to their penpals. It was pretty fun but as usual, I go away with the feeling that teachers NEVER are paid enough! I spent some more time in the office working on thankyou cards for myself. A couple of weeks ago under the guise of a stamping day, my girlfriends threw a surprise shower. I was completely shocked and didn’t have a clue. It was much appreciated and those are the next on the list to-do list.
Here’s the card I stamped. It’s the Much Appreciated one in the upper right corner. I’ve thrown in a few other of my favorites from that stamp set. It was a set that didn’t have a lot of appeal for me when it came out but I so love it now!
Card Information: it’s a simple vertical fold, folded back on itself.
Stamps: Alphabits, Much Appreciated, Wild About You
Inks & CS: Cool Caribbean, Taken with Teal, Marigold Morning.
